Hot Honey Peach Pizza

Sweet meets spicy in this cast-iron skillet pizza that pairs juicy peaches with crispy pepperoni and a drizzle of hot honey. The golden, cheesy crust holds a perfect balance of savory heat and summer sweetness - a bold twist on a classic that’s bound to steal the spotlight!

Serves: 2-4

Ready in: 1 hour, 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ of a peach, thinly sliced
  • 2 ounces pepperoni (about ½ a cup)
  • 2 teaspoons oregano leaves
  • Hot honey, for serving
  • Grated parmesan, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Let pizza dough sit at room temperature for thirty minutes. While this is happening, preheat the oven to 450°F. Brush olive oil on the bottom and sides of a 10-inch cast-iron skillet.
  2. Stretch pizza dough, and place dough in the pan, pressing to the edge of the pan with oiled fingertips. If dough bounces back and will not stay at the edge of the pan, cover loosely, let it rest 15 minutes, and try again.
  3. Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella evenly over the dough, going all the way to the edge, unless you desire a crust. Spoon sauce in small dollops over top of cheese. Top with peach slices, pepperoni, remaining mozzarella, and oregano.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven until the bottom of the crust is golden brown, 20-25 minutes.
  5. Carefully run a spatula or knife around the edges of the pan, and remove pizza from pan to a cutting board. Let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle with hot honey, and sprinkle with Parmesan. Cut into slices, and serve immediately.

Tips: Feel free to get creative with the toppings, but do not weigh the pizza down with too many, or the dough will not cook through all the way!
