Charred Peach Margarita

An orange margarita with a grilled peach slice

Smoky, sweet, and perfectly summery - this grilled peach margarita captures the taste of warm evenings and fresh, juicy peaches in every sip!

Serves: 2
Ready in: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 large peach, pitted, cut into six wedges
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 ounces Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar (or honey)
  • Kosher salt
  • Lime wedges, for garnish

1. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium high heat. Brush peach wedges with oil, and grill 30-60 seconds, or until charred. Remove from the grill and cool completely.

2. Set aside 2 peach wedges for garnish. Place remaining peach wedges and lime juice in a cocktail shaker; muddle to crush peaches. Add tequila, Cointreau, and agave. Top off the shaker with ice; cover and shake for 30 seconds, or until chilled.

3. Rub rims of two glasses with remaining peach wedges; dip rims in salt. Fill glasses with ice; strain margarita into the glasses. Add peach wedges and lime wedges to drinks for garnish. Serve immediately.

Note: Muddle a few fresh mint leaves or a small slice of jalapeño along with the peaches for an aromatic twist - mint adds brightness, jalapeño adds a gentle kick!
