I waited until peach season was over and I had my last peached out of fear of jinxing the last box, so sorry for the delay, but not sorry for the results. This was year 6 with Peach Truck for us. I had a credit from last year because those peaches did not ripen well, and Texas lost all its peached to a late freeze, so I decided to go big and hope for the best. I ordered two 25 lb boxes for midseason pick up. They were wonderful, and even after eating, preparing and preserving 50 lbs of peaches, I knew I'd miss then too soon and decided to live dangerously with a late season order for another 25 lbs. When I picked up my peaches, they had some 12 lb boxes available and I picked up one of those for my sister. These were a different variety, but still wonderful peaches. I made 3 batches (small batch) of peach jam and helped my sister make one with her peaches and I have some frozen and some canned. Between a tweak in my process and these peaches, this is probably the best peach jam I've ever made. Peach season was looking very bleak here, but Peach Truck delivered. Large, juicy, great flavor, beautiful color. These peaches and watermelons have made my summer. See you for year 7.!
