Caring for your Fresh Peaches

You’ve got fresh, hand-picked peaches—now it’s time to enjoy them at their best! Follow these simple steps to condition, store, and savor every bite.

Conditioning Your Peaches

Our peaches are picked at the perfect tree ripeness but might feel a little firm. They’ll continue conditioning at home:

  • Leave them at room temperature in a single layer.
  • Check daily by gently pressing near the stem—when they give slightly, they’re ready to eat!
  • Want to speed things up? Place them in a brown paper bag for quicker conditioning.

Storing Your Peaches

  • Once softened to your liking, enjoy immediately for peak juiciness.
  • Need to keep them longer? Store conditioned peaches in the fridge to slow the ripening process.
  • Want to preserve them?
    • Freezing: Slice, lay flat on a baking sheet to freeze, then transfer to an airtight bag for fresh peaches year-round.
    • Canning: Preserve peaches in a simple syrup to enjoy summer flavor anytime.
    • Making Jam: Cook down peaches with sugar and lemon juice for a delicious spread.
