Mid-May to Late August

This season typically starts in mid-May and lasts into late summer due to Georgia's warm climate and distinct red clay soil. Georgia peaches are known for their firmness and wonderful flavor, grown with love and picked at peak freshness.

South Carolina

The Best Time to Buy and Pick Peaches

You know peach season has reached its peak when the fruit gives in slightly to the touch, and the scent alone is enough to make your mouth water. Here’s how to spot (and store) perfection: 

• Leave them at room temperature for another day or two to condition
• Once they yield slightly to gentle pressure, they are ready
• Only refrigerate once they’re ripe—and even then, only if you’re not devouring them immediately.
